Description
Most leather boots at this price are not really leather all the way through. The Sayer is. It is cut from full-grain hide and built in our own factory in Tamil Nadu, in a group that has spent seven decades making footwear for brands sold across Europe and the United States. Same floor, same hands, same standards, under our own name.
The upper softens rather than splits, and creases where your foot bends instead of cracking across it. Underneath, a rubber outsole built for daily wear on city streets rather than for a photograph, cemented rather than welted, which keeps the boot light on the foot. Inside, full leather lining and a cushioned EVA footbed, so you can put them on and go without the two-week break-in people have learned to expect from a leather boot.
An 11 cm shaft, cut to sit just above the ankle. Black, which goes with everything you already own. Keep it clean, condition it now and then, and it will look better in a year than it does out of the box.
