The Gulio is a moccasin cut from full-grain hide and built in our own factory in Tamil Nadu, in a group that has spent seven decades making footwear for brands sold across Europe and the United States. The apron is stitched around the vamp and down the centre of the toe, which is how a moccasin is actually built rather than a seam printed onto a flat upper to look like one. The front is left plain. No tassel, no strap, no hardware.
It will not stay the colour it arrives in. darkens where your foot flexes and where your hands touch it, and after a year no two pairs look alike. That is what buying leather gets you instead of something coated to stay identical until the day it cracks. Wear it with chinos, with denim, with linen in the heat.
